Running the night on Pro and Studio

A host with a tablet chatting with two guests.
What is an event?
On Pro and Studio, an event brings the whole night together: a guest list, personal email invites, check-in at the door, a page on every guest’s phone with your announcements and games, and end-of-night picks.
How do I add my guest list?
Paste email addresses or upload a file. Each guest gets a personal email invite with a sign-in link, plus a QR code for the door if you scan guests in.
How does check-in work?
Either scan the QR code from each guest’s invite with a phone at the door, or tick guests off the list by name.
Can I put my own branding on it?
Yes, on every paid plan. Bring your colours, font and logo. Every palette is checked for contrast first.
Can I see how the night went?
Yes. Afterwards you see invitations, arrivals, activity and pick totals together.

End-of-night picks

Can Kemisu replace paper scorecards?
Yes, on Pro and Studio. Guests choose on their phones who they’d like to stay in touch with, and results go out when you close picks.
Mutual or one-way?
You choose per event. Mutual means both people have to pick each other. One-way sends a guest’s contact to each person they pick, who can share theirs back. In mutual mode, a guest’s contact is only shared when both picked each other.
Can I limit how many people a guest picks?
Yes. You can set a pick limit for the event.
When do guests see results?
When you close picks. Results appear on each guest’s event page.
Can guests leave a note with a pick?
Yes. Guests can add a note to a pick.
Does Kemisu pair people up?
No. There is no algorithm and there are no suggestions. Guests choose for themselves.
Who can a guest pick?
Only people at the same event. There are no profiles to browse outside it.

For guests

Do guests need to download an app?
No. Everything runs in the phone’s browser.
Do I need an account?
No. In a standalone room you join with a code, QR or link and pick a name. At a Pro event you sign in with the personal link in your invite email, with no password.
Do guests ever pay?
Never. Plans belong to whoever runs the room, and guests are never shown an upgrade.
Is there an icebreaker, or is it just “try to mingle”?
That’s up to your host. At a Kemisu event, the host can turn on Bingo and icebreaker groups, and you open them from your own event page.

The games

What are Icebreaker Cards?
A shared deck of questions. Everyone in the room sees the same card, and it changes on every phone when the host moves on. A room for 2 is free, with no account.
How does Bingo work?
Everyone gets a different card of prompts. They mingle, fill a square with the name of someone it fits, and call Bingo when they complete a line. The host reviews each win. Hosting Bingo needs a free account.
How many people can play Bingo?
Up to 30 in a room on Free, 60 on Basic and 60 on Pro. Every plan runs one Bingo room at a time, and everyone plays in the same room.
Do I have to write the questions?
No. Every plan includes every deck.

Plans and billing

Which plan do I need for singles events?
Pro or Studio. Both include events: invites, check-in, the guest event page and end-of-night picks. Basic is for bigger rooms, several icebreaker groups at once, your branding and full insights. Studio also adds your own domain for event pages and guest links. Free is for trying the games.
How much is Pro?
$29 USD a month. Basic is $9 USD a month, and Free is $0. Studio is $49 USD a month and adds custom domains. Your first paid plan is free for 14 days.
Do you charge per guest?
No. Paid plans are a monthly subscription in USD, and guests never pay.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Your first paid plan is free for 14 days. Plans are monthly and in USD only, and there’s no annual plan.
Do I need a card for the free trial?
Yes. You add a card at checkout, through Stripe. Nothing is charged that day.
When am I charged?
On day 15, at the normal monthly price: $9 for Basic, $29 for Pro, or $49 for Studio. Your welcome email gives the date your trial ends, and Stripe sends a reminder about 7 days before.
How do I cancel during the trial?
From the billing page in your dashboard. Cancel before day 15 and you pay nothing. You keep the plan until the trial ends.
Can I have more than one free trial?
No. It’s one trial per account. If you’ve had a paid plan or a free trial before, even one you cancelled, billing starts on day one.
Can I change plans during the trial?
Yes. Moving to a higher plan keeps your original trial end date. A move to a lower plan takes effect when the trial ends.
Can I change or cancel?
Yes, any time from the billing page in your dashboard. A cancelled plan keeps its features until the end of the period you paid for, then the account moves to the free plan. Payments are handled by Stripe.

What Kemisu is not

Is Kemisu singles event software?
It covers part of the night: check-in, the guest event page, icebreakers, Bingo and end-of-night picks. It doesn’t time rounds or assign tables.
Does it run singles event rotations or round timers?
No. Keep your own floor format; Kemisu handles the cards, the door and end-of-night picks.
Does it sell tickets?
No. Use your own ticketing. A public event page can link to your registration page.
Is it a dating app?
No. Kemisu is event software that hosts pay for. Guests don’t make accounts, can’t browse profiles and have no inbox or chat. Picks happen only between guests at the same live event.
